In the tiny Village of Boggidy Boo,
Resting on a hill,
Is a rather unique and curious Zoo,
Where the monkeys cannot sit still.
It was once a rather interesting place,
With people coming from far.
Guaranteed to put a smile on your face,
Was a Flamingo who played guitar.
Flamenco Flamingo was the star of the show,
And nothing (to him) could compare.
Not Juggling Warthogs, or Camels that sewed,
Or Meerkats who Salsa’d in pairs.
Flamenco was quite an arrogant chap,
And he really disliked the Chimps.
The Lima’s had once laid a booby trap,
Which had given Flamenco a limp!
This was a response to a terrible trick,
That Flamenco had planted with glee.
The Primates had all been terribly sick,
Their enclosures infested with fleas.
The Gorillas all thought Flamenco was vile,
And one night they all get together.
They hatched up a plan with Crocodile,
And set upon their vendetta.
On a memorable day, when all was well,
The Gibbons hid Croc’ in the pond,
With Flamenco’s guitar sounding up like a bell,
The bird started playing a song.
As usual all the visitors flocked,
Listening to Flamenco play.
Nobody noticed the hidden Croc’,
And Flamenco had no time to pray.
With a SPLASH! And a SNAP!
And a TWANG! And a CRACK!
Flamenco had suddenly vanished.
Croc’ hadn’t eaten in over a week,
And ‘til then he was utterly famished!
The Visitors screeched and started to run,
Surging towards the stairs.
The Zoo is rather quite regular now,
But the Meerkats still Salsa in pairs
