O mother, O Merry.. take me along, make me pure soul,
And drop me back on earth, to roam and ferry,
Raise your hand for blessing; let the divine ray flashing,
Make me angel of peace, gim’me solace to carry,
I wanna follow the Jesus; I wanna be his fetus,
Lock me up in stars, and solve my query,
How to be so kind? How to keep heart unwind,
How to convey the people, Be Happy! Be Merry
When distress is rolling, when problems are trolling,
Make me feel you inside, and keep off those wary,
When my legs begin to lurch, I make my way to church,
Its X-MAS again, forget all pain, and enjoy the sherry
