She bore me, she nurtured me, and she cherished me.
Danced with me in the rain, cried with me when I was hurt.
Cooked hot meals on cold wintry nights, tucked me warm at night.
Cared for me always in that warm nest of her love.

A warm blanket, a shield against all things bad.
As a child, making sure that no bad things happened to me.
As a teen, she calmed away the fiery rage of change.
Guiding me to goodness in the red sun of my adolescence.
Banishing the tears as only she can do.

Her body died but her soul lives in my heart.
Our memories are one, will live in an eternity.
Her death is just the beginning of a new era, a new life
where our memories will fly to the heavens.

She will be there in spirit, her soul will be seen.
When the sun rises, when the sky darkens,
as each new day comes her spirit will take my hand
guiding me away from my troubles.

Caring for me through the stormy torment of my strife.
That smile, that warmth, always with me.
